European Roulette VIP Game Ranks High in Monthly Performance Report
European Roulette took its rightful place as one of the top online table games in August. The game has the lowest house edge (or casino advantage) compared to other roulette variants. European Roulette gives the player better odds of winning with each spin of the wheel.
According to a monthly industry report released last week, European Roulette VIP, developed by Sweden-based Evolution, ranked No. 3 in a list of the top 25 table games. The top 25 list is part of the Online Game Performance Report (OGPR) published by Eilers & Krejcik Gaming (EKG) and Fantini Research.
The OGPR ranks casino games based on performance and a Theo Win Index number. Theo Win is calculated by looking at the house edge of a game and the total amount wagered. The house edge on European Roulette is 2.70% largely because it has a single 0 on the wheel. For example, if a player wagers $1 per spin on European Roulette, for one million spins, the casino expects to earn about 0.027 × $1,000,000 = $27,000.
A roulette wheel with double zeros sometimes referred to as American Roulette, gives the casino a 5.3% advantage in making money. The OGPR ranked American Roulette No. 1 in April.
Triple zero roulette wheels can also be found at casinos and have a 7.69% house edge. Single-zero European Roulette is the best bet, lower house edge.
Evolution’s online European Roulette VIP game includes a live dealer and higher betting limits and exceptional levels of VIP service. The company also provides VIP Auto Roulette games that can deliver 60–80 game rounds per hour. Online VIP tables take bets from $1.00 up to $10,000.00 per spin.
European Roulette VIP can be found at Golden Nugget Online Gaming, DraftKings Sportsbook & Casino, and other online casinos.
American Roulette
A handful of online casinos have started developing games in-house rather than going to suppliers like Evolution, International Game Technology (IGT), and Light & Wonder. These new games are listed as “Internal” in the EKG report and don’t identify what casino developed the game.
As mentioned earlier, an Internal American Roulette game was ranked No. 1 in April. The latest EKG report shows American Roulette is now ranked 5th in the list of 25 for August.
The report shows seven Blackjack variants holding ranks in the top 10, games from IGT, Evolution, and Internal.
IGT’s Blackjack game continues to lead the online table game segment followed by an Internal Craps game ranked No. 2. The average bet for the overall online table game segment ranges from $2.00 to $442.00.
Game suppliers listed in the top 25 list include IGT, Evolution, Playtech, Light & Wonder, and White Hat Studios.
New Roulette Variants
In July, U.K.-based Playtech Live announced the launch of Cash Collect Roulette Live, the company’s second new multiplier roulette game.
Following the success of Mega Fire Blaze Roulette, Cash Collect Roulette Live follows the same successful base structure with all inside bets rewarding a bonus round. The Cash Collect bonus rounds offer players a way to unlock additional segments to collect wins and gather multiplier wins, jackpot wins, and additional spins.
“We were extremely proud to bring the game to market through our partnerships with Betfair and LeoVegas, before making the game available to players worldwide,” said Edo Haitin, CEO of Playtech Live.
The new game was launched exclusively with Betfair in the U.K. and LeoVegas in Sweden for three weeks.
